She has been very itchy and licking the wounds, O noticed malodour and discharge coming out. EDDU normal.Physical examinationDemeanour: BAR, friendly but doesn't like to be heldEars: bilaterally brown waxy build upSkin: hot/warm on palpation, redden/rash/inflamed all over the ventral abdominal area, inguinal area, hind ends and base of tail with pus like discharge, very moist and malodourDom 0.25mls and Torb 0.25mls IM for sedationClipped and cleaned wounds, applied neocort cream on topDexason 1.5mls SC injectionCephalexin 1000mg tablet half tablet BID for 3 weeksPred 20mg tablet half tablet SID for 3 weeksRecheck in 3 weeks to see how she goes with meds and might need more meds as skin looks very angry todayTalked O to wash her with malaseb shampoo 1-2 times a week for next couple of weeks and dry properlyO already got neocort at home, talked O to apply 1-2 times a day for next 2 weeksE collar to prevent licking as she was very sore today and if she is still painful, paracetamol 10mg/kg for pain relief as she can't have meloxicam
