10/03/2026 Nurse: ADE Consult Reason: Lame in hind leg History: Lame right hind leg Owner though she could see something poking out of foot, tried to pull out Has been otherwise well EDDU normally PE: Demeanour- BAR HR- xx, regular, no murmur RR- Panting, lung fields clear bilaterally Temp - 38.8 MM/CRT- Pink, moist, <2sec Mouth/Teeth- Healthy teeth and gums Eyes/Ears- Clear/NAD Nose/Throat- Clear/NAD Abdomen- Soft and comfortable on palpation Urogenitals- NAD Skin/Coat- Healthy skin and coat MSK - No swelling, excess heat in right hind leg. No pain on palpation, flexion and extension of all joints in RH leg. No FB or other abnormalities noted in foot Assessment: Ddx soft tissue injury vs FB that has come out of foot Discussed due to lack of findings on physical exam recommend NSAID trail and monitor - INI then to investigate further with radiographs Treatment: Meloxicam 21kg dose PO SID with food Plan: If no improvement in 7 days then book in for radiogrpahs of right hind leg
