Reason: Cut Paw Pad - Limping LHHistory: seems sore on RF paw- o noted a flap off skin coming off the main foot pad earlier but now it is missing.Also flapping ears a bit.Examine: BAR, mm pink, teeth great. Happy dog. Thorax nad, abdo nad. RF paw medial aspect main foot pad is an area of 1cm diameter where there has been partial thickness loss of skin. Tender to palpate here although where the skin if full thickness all ok. No wounds, no discharge. Interdigital area all ok.Mild bilateral otitis externa.Assessment: partial thickness pad injury- should heal just with some protection and pain relief.Mild bilateral otitis externa- hasn't had any previous episodes.Treatment: light bandage on RF paw - o to remove tomorrow aftyernoon if still in place.Can give 1x 500mg paracetomol 500mg tablet orally twice daily for 3 days- first dose given here this evening- next due tuesday morning.Clean ears with epiotic SIS.Apply 1 tube Osurnia gel to both ears.If ongoing ear issues to rv for cytology and further tx/ management.Expect paw to heal quite quickly.
