09/03/2026 REASON: Torn LF dew claw

H: Running around at park and tore L dew claw.  Is otherwise well in herself. 

E: LF dew claw hanging by small amount of nail, little bit of active bleeding. Very stressed- heavy panting, mm's p<2s.  Not lame.  

T: Applied local spray.  Would not let us touch the foot or bandage.  Tried with owner holding- wouldn't allow. 

Meloxicam 0.85mL SID 3-5d, gabapentin 400mg tonight and 2 hours prior to visit tomorrow. 

P: R/V tomorrow for sedation and remove dew claw. Warned owner may fall off overnight given not holding on by much.  If it does probably best to still re-visit with sedation so we can clean and bandage for her.
