Main lesion of concern is on the ventral tail base, looks to have some possible purulent discharge.  2 new ones have developed on either side of the tail base(dorsal). Looks to be scabbed over. Superficial abrasions potentially? Lymph Nodes: NSFEyes: NSFDemeanour/Behaviour: Bright, alert, and responsive. PROBLEM LIST:- Pyoderma/dermatitis- New lesion with discharge on rump DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS/ DIAGNOSIS:Superficial pyotraumatic dermatitis.  ASSESSMENT:Recheck of ongoing skin condition. While new lesions have developed, older lesions are improving. The discharge from the new lesion on the rump is serous, not purulent, indicating inflammation rather than active infection. The overall condition is responding to treatment, but an extended duration of therapy is required for full resolution. TREATMENT:  Cephalexin 1000mg BID 14d worth.  PLAN:- Re-evaluation in one to two weeks.- The clinic is undergoing renovations for approximately four weeks. Follow-up appointments will be scheduled at the North Lakes branch.- Continue monitoring for new lesions or signs of irritation. CLIENT COMMUNICATION:Discussed examination and diagnostic findings with the owner. Explained that the discharge is not pus and the condition is not worsening significantly. Advised that a longer course of antibiotics is necessary for complete healing, aiming for all lesions to scab and fall off, revealing healthy skin underneath. Instructed on the transition to the new antibiotic. Informed about the clinic renovations and the need to attend the North Lakes location for the next follow-up.
