O called earlier today requesting gabapentin due to discussion with insurance company
KK checked that the script last given was including tablet/capsule options for O to give at home
O reported that very difficult to give capsule in its desirable dosage and Ava is avoiding food with the medication hidden in it
Advised that gabapentin form in clinic only have capsule, unsure if chemist do tablet form. Worth O to give Spearwood 777 a call to check before new script for oral suspension to be organized

O understood and called back shortly after checking with Spearwood 777
O reported that only capsule form or oral suspension form for 100mg
O elected to continue with gabapentin capsule for now and might request the oral suspension form in the future

O to pick up gabapentin capsule today
In the future, if O elected to trial gabapentin oral suspension
Vet plz organize script for gabapentin 100mg/ml, Chicken/Fish flavour oral suspension for O to trial at home (0.5ml 2-3 times daily?)

Spoke to Elise, started denamarin and cardisure saturday immediately after meds felt dogs heart was pounding an Ava seemed agitated, this continued through sunday so she decided to reduce to half a tablet twice a day, now heart seems to be normal.

Last 48 hours poor appetite, 1 vomit and mucusy feces

advise continue heart meds at 0.625mgs bid, stop carprofen, stop denamarin, continue gaba as needed.
Will leave prokolin on file if improves but mucusy stools still there.

If doesn't improve come in for consult

Denamarin may help the liver so happy to write a letter for same to provide to insurance company.
