Telephone Call: Owner called demanding to speak with a vet right now as she has been waiting to hear back for the last hour.Spoke with NZ, she said that AW was in surgery and that the call to the owner made an hour ago was just to get consent to give more sedation as Chilli is very anxious and they wanted to do another round of U/S.Relayed this to the owner. She was very upset as she said she has been beside herself for the last hour not knowing what was happening. Asked for us to communicate via text in future if they cannot get through to her. It's been extremely busy today, and I am so sorry that I wasn't able to give you the necessary updates along the way. I had prioritized Chilli to be the first procedure that I did in the day as you had requested an earlier pickup, however she was too stressed and panting anxiously for me to be able to complete the scan with diagnostic images. I haven't found anything untoward on the ultrasound, I just wanted to confirm with you whether you'd be okay for me to proceed with sedation to get better images. Unfortunately I was quickly pulled into another procedure so wasn't able to update you myself at that point. Thank you for following up with reception, I understand that you approved sedation so I will proceed with this. As Chilli's ultrasound has been a bit more challenging, and given Chilli's weight loss and the history with your other dog, I'd like to make sure I get a 2nd opinion from Dr Geoff on the ultrasound, and he will be available for this after 5pm.
