DENTAL PreGA Examination - unremarkable OK to proceed with GA ANAESTHETIC - PreGA Bloods - No abnormalities detected that require further investigation or prohibits anaesthetic - Premed -  0.4ml ACP, 0.8ml Methadone IV - Induction - 6.0ml alfaxan IV - Intubation - 10.5 mm tube - Maintenance - isoflurane and O2 FLUIDS - Catheter placed - cephalic - Hartmanns fluid therapy initiated - Placed on surgical fluid rate of 5ml/kg/hr during procedure - After recovery removed from IV Fluids DENTAL - Complete periodontal examination with ultrasonic scaling and polishing due to periodontal disease - Missing teeth - 108- Other dental disease - Bleeding mass around 105. MASS EXCISIONAL BIOPSY NO MARGINS - Bleeding mass around 105 - covers 270* of tooth.- Newly noted by O yesterday Regularly cleans teeth, so O is in mouth all the time.  - excisional biopsy and haemostasis achieved with cautery - Mass kept in formalin in clinic.  DENTAL XRAYS - 208 - Carnassial tooth with slab fracture. Boney lysis around caudal root. Tooth absorption noted mid caudal root, tooth root tip has periodontal ligament noted. Cranial roots are completely absorbed into maxilla bone- area around 105 - no boney change. DENTAL EXTRACTION - 208 - large gingival flap created. - caudal root removed in it's entirety, cranial roots deep crown amputation. Closed gingival flap with 5/0 monoQ using simple interrupted sutures.
