Chronic diarrhoea<br><br>- Impression: Chronic diarrhoea - primary vs secondary gastrointestinal disease to be investigated<br>- Differential diagnosis: food allergy (chicken), inflammatory bowel disease, Clostridial perfringens toxin persistence, medication side effect<br>- Investigations: blood test (pancreas, liver - liver check indicated given anxiety medications), fecal PCR for Clostridial perfringens toxin levels<br>- Food trial recommended - novel protein diet (goat or crocodile). Lyco hypoallergenic goat or Prime 100 crocodile and tapioca rolls. Must be exclusive diet for 3-4 weeks with no other treats or food. Can use same protein as treats (e.g., dried crocodile treats). STO - is still having normal diet of probiotic yoghurt and banana at night + ziwi peak + normal dry food - asked to remove banana and yoghurt at moment while has diarrhea - and stick to chicken and RC gstro and start prokolin again for a week - give some time to settle but if doesn't settle in 2 weeks then bloods to check liver enzymes
