PB HISTORY: O mentioned they were on a holiday staying near a beach with Tilly when all of a sudden when they went to pick Tilly up and put her in the car she squealed in pain and kept her tail curled up. She is not willing to let anyone touch her tail but O is unsure how she could have hurt herself. PB PHYSICAL EXAM: Attitude: BAR / FAS BCS: 3/5 Heart/lungs: clear MM: pink, moist Skin Tent: normal Dental Score: - Abdomen: soft, comfortable Skin: NAD, no external wounds on tail Eyes: clear Ears: clear Temp: - Lymph Nodes: nad MSK/Neuro: tail wagging at distal end, but holding it out and not moving the proximal end Rectal: not performed, VERY FAS for back end DIAGNOSTICS: none ASSESSMENT: ddx- tail injury, soft tissue vs bone PLAN: trial pain medications, INI will need sedation and examination, possible radiographs of tail
