Reason: 6 Week RecheckHistory: Scheduled 6 week recheck Activity level and walking at home; free roaming in the house after 4 weeks, 20 min lead walks. Stiffness after rest. Examination :Gait - Lameness score - Treatment:Deep sedation with  Medetomidine(1mg/ml) at 10mcg/kg  and Butorphanol (10mg/ml), each at at 0.1ml/10kg Imaging:Radiograph shows Examination under sedation revealsPlan:Dog to slowly return to normal exercise over next 3 to 6 weeks.Client Communication:Healing of the bone is looks to be progressing but is slightly slower than what we would expect. But more than happy for her to start to increase exercise. Start with 15min BID to TID and increase by 5 min each week for 6 week. No off lead until the end of the 6 weeks. Was slightly slow for the first few days and has been getting better day by day. Now is slightly difficult to keep her calm. Confined to a small area at home. And getting 4 x 5 min walk.
