09/03/2026 hx: since about 4pm yesterday started gagging and retching as though trying to clear throat. Not a known stick or toy eater. Nothing different happened to normal. Has continued intermittently over the night. Otherwise well. UTD tick prevention

pe: mm pink and moist, mild hypersalivation, Crt 1 sec, hr 144, rr pant, positive reaction to tracheal pinch. Lung sounds normal. Abdomen soft and comfortable. Ln nad

A: tracheal irritation vs foreign body vs other

tx: IVC placed and 0.8ml butorphanol given IV, followed by Alfaxan to facilitate positioning. Larynx examined with laryngoscope. Inflamed and  no fb visible, no enlarged tonsils.

Left and right lateral and VD thorax/neck views taken. No obvious obstruction/mass effect

PLAN: trial Meloxciam for 3 days
