DATE/TIME of CONSULTATION: 18:27hrs, Tue 24/02/26 CLINICIAN: EH PRESENTING COMPLAINT: v+ HISTORY: - ate amazon bag y'day evening, v+ up the paper came in here for assessment (see hx) - ate some dinner after vet visit (chicken and rice) w encouragement - now has developed soft serve d+ normal in colour, had a single v+ this evening but as not eaten since y'day nothing really came up in the v+ - does have a sensitive stomach - will get gut upset easily CLINICAL FINDINGS: - BAR, gums moist crt 1-2 secs - HR 90, reg no audible murmur detected - chest clear norm BV sounds all 4 quads - abdo comfortable on deep palpation - t 38.9 - LN wnl - msk- ambulating well no obvious lameness, full exam not preformed - integ - nice evan coat, free from ectoparasites PROBLEM LIST: - v+ and d+ post paper ingestion DIFFERENTIALS: - dietary indiscretion likely, cant rule out FB etc OPTIONS PROVIDED: - recomm trial maropitant o/n w bland diet DIAGNOSTIC TESTS: - PEx only DIAGNOSIS: - open likely dietary indiscretion related gastroenteritis post envelope ingestion y'day - had glue on it etc TREATMENT: - maropitant 1mg/kg sc CLIENT COMMUNICATION/PLAN: - bland boiled chicken and rice for a few days and monitor closely, if haemorrhagic d+ starts or v+ through the maropitant represent
