O requested Mirtaz + bup + Metronidazole. Called O as no hx showing patient is on metronidazole. O will contact CARE and request again if required. Spoke with Linda from care - please see notes that were origanally sent, there is mention of Metronidazole in HX AB See below: the results have been discussed and Bella is reported to be more comfortable with the pain relief (buprenorphine 45 mcg q 12 hours) which should be continued. There has been a reduction in the haematochezia since Bella was sent home although addition of metronidazole 40 mg q 12 hours (oral suspension) may reduce this further. The option of faecal testing for infectious disease (Idexx antigen and PCR panel) has been discussed and this should go ahead if a faecal sample is collected at home. The mirtazapine (1.88 mg q 72 hours) is helping with Bellas appetite and should be continued. Bellas family require two weeks supply of metronidazole, buprenorphine and mirtazapine and would prefer to collect this from the Bundoora clinic if this can be organised. They are keen to have a consultation with a veterinary oncologist and this will be organ
