Appointment Notes: sore paw RFL sore. Yelped last night when standing to eat dinner. Not on any pain relief. On regular zydax. No v+ or D+ EDDU normally Subjective: Very boisterous in consult. Difficult for MSK exam Hx of OA / DJD treated with zydax. Objective: HR/PR/CV: NE MM/CRT/Hydration: MM p/m. CRT 1sRESP/RR: Panting. Normal effort Temp: NE GIT/UG: NAD Skin/Ears: Thick, well kept coat 1 x 1cm x 1cm fixed mass in muscle on RHS ventral thoracic region. M/S: Ambulating well / jumping around in consult. No swelling or crepitus noted in joints (although very wriggly for exam) Eyes: NAD Dental: NE Lymph Nodes: NAD BCS: 6/9Assessment: RFL pain ddx: OA / DJD flare vs. soft tissue injury vs. bruising Treatment: meloxicam 2.5mg SID PO Plan: INI on meloxicam, consider CT vs. xray (CT would be best) Discussed surgical removal of lump. O keen to monitor for a month and at recheck for zydax/ meds, consider getting estimate if it grows in size.
