Discussed zoonotic nature of Giardia - O's father going thru chemo now (doesn't live with Laika) and O has a condition that makes her 'not fully immunocompromised but more prone' as per O. Recommended taking additional caution - wearing goves when cleaning faeces, wash hands thoroughly after touching fur coat as dogs can be grooming and eggs on hair coat. NOT to visit immunocompromised family members. O also reports the other dog has D+ too, started 1 week after Laika. Advised unable to dispense medication unless seeing the other dog for this issue, but depending on whether the consulting vet is comfortable with, may be able to dispense medications if highly suspicious of the same infectious causes and not repeat the faecal testing.
