Eaten this morning & this dinner evening, but has not eaten after vomiting.Since then has been curled up and lethargic eyes closed and facial expression seems to be painfulNormal urine & faeces earlier this morningIndoor/outdoorNo previous scavenging historyNo health conditionsNo medicationsOn advocate - given 3d agoExamine:QAREyes, ears, nose: clear, no dischargeORAL: grade 1, pink moist CRT 1sCV: no murmur, normal rate & rhythmRESP: lungs clear, normalABDOMEN: soft & comfortableLNN: no enlargementMSK: normal rom in all limbs, walked around consult table on all limbsUltrasound:AFAST: no FAF notedAssessment:Primary GIT (dietary indiscretion, gastroenteritis, foreign body ingestion) vs secondary GIT (liver, kidneys, pancreatitis, metabolic dz)...EtcTreatment:--- 04/03/2026 00:13:39 HH:Buprenorphine 0.02mg/kg (0.32ml) SC PLAN:Bland diet for next 3d, then slow transition back to normal dietMonitor eating, further vomiting & any painKeep indoors for monitoringClient communication:Discussed stable currently suitable as outpatient management and medical trial. Discussed bloodwork to help rule out organ involvement, no single test for gastro. Advised screening blood tests for pancreatitis is available.O declined anti-nausea inj but happy to proceed with pain relief injection and bloodwork today.Nurses attempted to take blood but flinching & hissed. Advised O that if we're moving forward with venipuncture would need sedation. O wanted to try holding Jingle Snow. O attempted to hold for blood taking - was much better little flinch didn't puncture skin yet but then O declined any further attempts as concerned about stress.
