Reason: Eating Grass, Straining Appointment Notes: kjbHistory: Seems much better now Last night went to usual park and played with ball Would not have eaten anything - O watches him very closely but the ball may have rolled in somethingImmediately started chewing grass when he got home which is quite unusual Didn't finish dinner but seemed enthusiastic about it, ate all of breakfast this morning  Current diet is Biome biscuits mixed with prime - has always had a bit of a sensitive stomach This morning defaecated a large amount - was a bit soft but still formed Wanted to eat grass again this morning Straining a bit to defaecate afterwards Has never looked nauseous, no V+ Current Medication: none Examination: Demeanour: BAR, bit nervous but very good for exam BCS: 3/5HR/PR: 100. No murmur or arrhythmia, pulses strong and synchronous RR/Chest: panting. Normal effort and BV sounds MM/CRT: pink, moist/1.5Oral/Teeth/Gums: stage 1 dental disease Temp: not taken Ears: external pinna clean Eyes: nad LNs: SM, PS, P wnl Abdo/GIT: soft and comfortable U/G: not assessed M/Skel: ambulating well Neuro: mentation appropriate, no obvious deficits Derm: good coat quality, no lesions noted Rectal: unremarkable. Small amount of soft, brown stool present. L AG slightly full, very easy to express and contained normal material Problem List:1. Eating grass2. Soft stools A: both seem to be improving and self-limiting. Loui is otherwise very clinically well at this stage. Suspect could be secondary to mild gastroenteritis from possible dietary indiscretion - recommend managing with probiotics and going on just Biome for next few daysP: pro-kolin BID, Biome only until signs have resolved.
