Reason: Hx And Referral Letter To JCU Please Appointment Notes: vet@jcu.edu.au - lilySpoke to SASH gold coast neurologist - advised cannot do telemedicine for Lola as requires physical examination - confirmed cerebellum issue - either immune mediated (and requires further immunosuppression) or infectious (most likely neospora, or fungal (crypto or aspergillosis)) - does NOT think parasiticide is the cause of this issue. Main presenting signs are tremors, seizures. Steroids should not treat toxic neuropathy as toxins / parasiticides do not cause inflammation of the brain. - further diagnostics would require MRI and CSF - parasiticide aetiology will be normal on these tests.P - crypto LCAT, neospora antibodies, aspergillosis galactomannan (GM) essay  - cyclosporine (neoral or another microemulsion (recommends compounding)) 5mg/kg q12hrs - check trough cyclosporine after 2wks, must be >250 - then very slow taper pred 25% q4wks - aim to wean after 4mths. Then 2mths later begin tapering cyclosporine over 3mths - if no ongoing issues--- 05/02/2026 11:15:45 SP: - STO.
