Reason:Walk in -  Unwell - Sleeping Lots Appointment Notes: ahHistory: Normally really active but last couple days has been sleeping a lot Scratching a lot - scratching head / ears + licking (couple days)Is allowed outdoors unsupervised free roam.Prev Hx FLUTD. No abnormal toileting recently according to O.Ate small amount of food this morning.Not vaccinated for FIVExamine: Large (golf ball sized) fluid filled mass under chin. Hypersalivating. Temperature slightly elevatedAbdomen soft and comfortable on palpation - no bladder distension.Assessment: Cat fight absess suspected - admit for draining under sedation + bloodwork / FIV test.Anaesthetic: Sedation with methadone 0.2ml + medetomidine 0.4ml - adequate sedation achievedTreatment: Abscess site clipped and lanced under sedation. Flushed with saline and left open to drain.FIV/FeLV test negative on both.Blood work revealed minor stress changes, otherwise healthy.Meloxicam 0.1mg/kg given SCPlan: TGH amoxiclav liquid 1ml twice daily for 7 days. Meloxicam oral 0.5ml once daily starting tomorrow O to keep indoors / only out if supervised until healed - no free wandering.Recheck in 10 days.??FIV vaccination??
