Email from Animalius: Hi Tess, Maddi has just been speaking to you and is offering this patient to come in on Monday morning (fasted please). In the meantime, I recommend stopping the meloxicam, administering opiods instead (perhaps oral buprenorphine), and administering sucralfate (but not on the morning of the appointment). I also recommend maropitant, even though not vomiting. If you don't have sucralfate, then omeprazole is fine at 1mg/kg twice daily, however occasional dog will have complicated GI signs secondary to proton pump inhibitors. Kind regards, Fleur
