Scooting occasionally after passing stool. O took him to the park this morning and had poo but didn't scoot. Otherwise doing very well. EDUF all normal. Parasite Control O using: Simparica trio & Drontal Vaccination & last given = C5 Dec'24 , KC'Dec'25Diet= RC Golden Retriever adult biscuits Supplements= nilMedications= nilMicrochip checked= scannedPet Insurance= RSPCA insured Examination: n=normal, dne=did not examine.12 System Check:1- General appearance - BAR2- Oral - Heavy tartar on 108 & 208 only, other teeth clean. No gingivitis present 3- Eyes - n4- Ears - n5- Abdominal - n6- Glands - n7- Skin - ventral chest there is a 7mm diameter irregular dermal lump8- Genito-urinary - entire, both testes palpated and feel normal.9- Musculo-Skeletal - n10- Neural - n11- Respiratory - n12- Circulatory - nEAGs - v full but expressed easily, light brown fluid. Inflamed skin around anus.Laboratory: FNA cytology - cocci ++++, neuts +, RBCs +Problem List: 1. Localised dermal infection ventral chest ddx. Grass seed abscess vs other2. Perineal dermatitisTreatment: Amoxyclav 500mg PO BIDMeloxicam 33kg dose (0.33mg) PO SIDApoquel 16mg PO SID 7d (O has at home)Client Advice: Advised small abscess may resolve with ABs and NSAID, however if there is a FB present it will require sx to open and clean out.
