Nya presented for maintenance laser therapy 5.5 months since her last session and 15 months post–LH TPLO (13/11/2024). Chelsea reports she is doing very well, with rehab a great success. She is currently doing a 45–60 minute walk each morning and a 20-minute walk in the evening. She is on Hill’s J/D Metabolic dry and has lost 1.86 kg over 8 weeks (now 34.2 kg). She continues on rose hip supplement, 3-monthly Pentosan injections, and Cytopoint for allergies. Owner notes occasional mild RF lameness after exercise that resolves quickly and is not always present. On exam today, no lameness observed and palpation unremarkable. Hips remain mildly restricted in ROM bilaterally (known hip dysplasia), but she sits squarely and stands balanced with good muscling. Nya does not tolerate manual stretching at home but self-stretches in the mornings.

Laser performed:
Hips: 1555 J (Avg 10.80 W) – 2:24 mins
Bilateral stifles: 778 J each (Avg 5.40 W) – 2:24 mins each
Right shoulder: 1186 J (Avg 7.60 W) – 2:36 mins

Plan: continue current management and shoulder strengthening (“high fives” before/after exercise). Recheck in 3 months if RF lameness persists; otherwise, maintenance laser in 5–6 months as she is progressing very well.
