USG - 1.029

History:Presenting for recheck of urine post UTI diagnosis. O reports P is doing well, seems more comfortable urinating. Using litter tray or goes outside. Urine not as pungent anymore but has crystal like material sitting on top of it. No straining noted.Was on Amoxyclav for 7 days (based off C&S), last dose was given 3 days ago. Examine:BARMM pink and moist, CRT <2s.HR = 200, no murmur or arrhythmia noted.No pain on palpation of bladder and kidney.LAB:Cysto sample taken, bladder very large, no obvious hyperechoic material noted in bladder contents. No obvious stones. 1. UA:pH: 7 LEU: 2+PRO: negGLU: negKET: negUBG: normBIL: negBLD: 4+ (but cysto sample)Wet prep: no crystals.Dry prep: LOTS of rods, some cocci, lots of WBCs and RBCs.Assessment:1. UTI not resolved.Client comm:- Recommend additional 7 days of ABs and then repeat cysto. - INI may require further investigation (bladder ultrasound/repeat C&S). Plan:1. Additional 7 days of 75mg Amoxyclav BID, then recheck and re-cysto for full UA.

Vetnostics final report attachedAD 16/0216/2Heavy growth E ColiSensitive to everything including Amoxyclav CM STO Hoi with results. O thinks urine slightly less smelly. Started Abx on Sat so due for urine sample next Mon. O will book in a cysto as difficult to collect urine at home.
