Presented for 4th cartrophen injection. Doing well, moments of stiffness. Owner has not felt need to give NSAIDs yet - would like renal screening before long term use.
Eating, drinking, toileting well.
Owner noted lump on chest that had not been noticed at last check, has not grown since first noticed.

HR OK, RR OK, MM pink, CRT <2s
Abdomen relaxed. Eyes clear. Ears clean. Skin healthy.
Multiple masses - previously tested except for 3cm diameter SC soft semi-mobile mass on ventral chest between forelegs.
FNA of chest mass showed adipocytes - lipoma.

Plan
- take blood for renal parameter screening - owner happy to send off for total annual health profile
- report results when returned - if renal numbers OK, then can use NSAIDs long term
- owner to monitor masses and recheck if changing in size, colour, etc.

TR called o for update  since trialling short meloxicam course 
O thinks Abbott does appear more comfortable and happier in himself. hasn't seen the FL lameness, although was intermittent before. 
O feels would be keen to have few tab on hand, o coming in for 3rd cartrophen inj this Sat, dispensed another 7 tabs (ready in pick ups). If needing longer term nsaid use o aware needs blood screen prior, at final cartrophen inj with vet will get a general blood screen and if clear will consider longer term nsaid use
