Examination was unremarkable. The primary concerns are the ingested foreign body and underlying separation anxiety which is a predisposing factor for pica. TREATMENT:  Admitted for induction of emesis.Emesis was induced: ApomorphineA 1.5ml solution (apomorphine tablet dissolved in 5ml saline) was administered subcutaneously.Findings: Vomited food and multiple small pieces of chewed cloth. PLAN:Discharged home into owner's care.Strict monitoring for any signs of gastrointestinal obstruction.Strongly recommended a behavioural consultation with the primary care veterinarian or a veterinary behaviourist to address the separation anxiety. CLIENT COMMUNICATION:Discussed the risks of foreign body ingestion and the importance of preventing future occurrences.Advised on management strategies for separation anxiety, including behavioural modification and the potential need for medication, to be discussed with a behaviourist or primary vet.The owner was advised to be extremely careful as the patient is likely to attempt ingestion again. Reason: Swallowed SockAppointment Notes: Anywhere from 6pm-10pmOwners were out and ehn arrived home, found a remnanat of a men's sock in rafiki's mouth. The top 5 cm only remained from the sock.He usually chews different things when he is left home and the owners out.Examination:BAR.Mm pink, CRT< 2 secs, HR 130 and RR normal.Cardiac: NAD.Resp: NAD.Abdo: NAD.Urinary: NAD.Neuro: BAR.Procedure:Induced emesis with 1 ml Redivom SC.Vomited some dry food  and small shreds of the sock. A large length of torn sock was vomited last.Assessment:Administered 1ml Prevomax SC.Client communication:- Possibly some parts of the sock still in stomach and may cause problems.- Discussed endoscopy, O preferred to monitor Rafiki closely at home and seek vet advice if needed.- Rafiki may be manifesting signs of separation anxiety.
