History:- Multiple scabby, crusty skin lesions present for approximately one month. The lesions are not resolving despite previous antibiotic therapy. There is also ongoing right front paw interdigital dermatitis with a bacterial infection.-Previously presented for hives/allergic dermatitis which resolved within 48 hours following a prednisolone tapering course. Also had right front paw interdigital dermatitis and was treated with cephalexin tablets and a prednisolone tapering course. A continuing itch was noted following a post-operative period. A concern for potential neoplasia was previously raised.Previously presented for similar issue: yesCurrent medications:noneOwners concerns:HR:-RR:-MM/CRT:-Temp:-Assessment:1. Non-resolving skin lesions - differentials include a hypersensitivity reaction, cutaneous lymphoma, or other neoplastic condition. The aetiology could not be determined from cytology alone.2. Right front paw interdigital dermatitis with ongoing bacterial infection.Plan:- Cephalexin 1.5 tablets morning and night for 7 days.- Chlorhexidine wipes to be applied twice daily to lesions and paws with 30 seconds of contact time, then wiped with water.- Malaseb wash twice weekly (every 3-4 days).- Continue current management and reassess at the next appointment.- If lesions are not resolving, a surgical biopsy under general anaesthetic is recommended. Pre-anaesthetic blood work is approximately $195, and the biopsy with histopathology for multiple sites is approximately $1700-2000. A quote was provided for the biopsy procedure, pending the outcome of the next visit.Revisit required / When:
