Reason: Check ears.Scratching the left ear 2-3 weeks. Today went to the Groomer and noticed some inflammation. Is bathed every 2 weeks. Currently on a diet (stopped feeding dry food and feeding a home cooked diet, fed boiled chicken and veggies -spinach broccoli, carrot, spinach, sweet potato, cabbage and beans)- weight loss from 12.6kg-10.3kg. Intermittently fed eggs. No other areas of pruritis. On monthly nexgard and three monthly tapeworming. Left pinna is mildly inflamed, the ear canal is clean. Small amount of a discharge and inflammation in the right ear canal. Ear swabR=Malassezia Possibility of an underlying allergy leading to inflammation of both pinnas at their base but mainly the right. Left canal is not inflamed and is clean. Right canal is inflamed and has a small amount of a moist wax. No other areas of the body have any kin inflammatory changes.Cause of the allergy is unsure. Diet? Contact?
