Dog General Anaesthetic** Pre GA results:  Preanesthetic - Methadone 0.2mg/kg i/m, Acepromazine 0.04mg/kg. Adequate pre-medication achieved.   Anesthetic - IV catheter placed in the cephalic vein. Induction with alfaxan 1mg/kg slow i/v to effect , endotracheal tube placed, cuff inflated, maintained with 2% Isoflorane with Oxygen.  I/v perioperative fluids @ 5/ml/kg/hr. Monitored throughout anaesthetic using pulse oximeter, indirect blood pressure assessment, and ap alert.Measure MCT w calipers = W 20mm, L 18mm, H 10mmCarpal area clipped and prepped with chlorhexidine wash for incisiona;l biopsy. 4mm punch biopsy through skin to subcutaneous tissue taken centrally from lesion. Closed with single cruciate suture with 3/0 nylon. No dressing applied due to dogs poor tolerance of bandages. Bitterant and pain relief to be dispensed, enquire with owners about cone to allow best healing. Difficult to palpate regional lymph nodes, pre-scapular and axillary lymph nodes not obviously enlarged on palpation. Recovery from anaesthetic uneventful. Extubated upon return of a swallowing reflex.Pred 1mg/kg post-op, taper down to 0.5mg/kg until Stelfonta injection - Start pred tomorrow morning due to recent meloxicam administration yesterday morning (48 hours washout period) - Check no meloxicam given today Paracetamol 15mg/kg TID for 3-5 days post-op Bitterant to be given. Re-check post op 7 days after surgery, check on healing and tumour size.- Remove sutures if healing well. - Re-evaluate suitability for stelfonta injection, biopsy site must be completely healed, so check healing status. Stelfonta injection must be at least 14 days post-biopsy.- Must also start H1 and H2 blockers before Stelfonta injection    Vital Signs
