05/03/2026 Reason: hotspot Skin beneath ear red for the last few days, yesterday looked swollen Swollen this morning too, has since gone down this afternoon Other dog at home keeps trying to lick the area. No bathing or swimming, has been in the rain recently Exam: Integument: beneath R ear large area of moist erythema, a bit puffy Ears: bilaterally erythematous internal pinnae, dark brown waxy discharge, unable to visualise TM bilaterally due to discharge down canal. CYTOLOGY: L yeast ++, R: nil bacteria/yeast Assessment: Acute moist dermatitis Otitis externa, query bilateral Plan: O has neocort at home, to apply twice daily Macrolone 1.5 tab SD 6 days Dermotic 1ml BD 5 days RV if symptoms ongoing
