Reason: History: Examination: Laboratory: Assessment: Anaesthesia: Pre medication: Medetomidine 7mcg/kg IM + Methadone 0.5mg/kg IM. Premedication sedation was excellent. Induction: Propofol 1.5mg/kg IV for induction. Managed to use a 7.5mm ET tube for intubation for this pt. Induction went smoothly. At the start of general anaesthesia, pt did experience some bradycardia and hypotension, but heart rate and blood pressure eventually rised and was stable throughout the procedure. Reason: Ear Issue - referral History: - Seen by regvet (GC PC) for bilateral otitis externa 2 days ago. Admitted for sedated exam with them yesterday - were able to visualise R TM and canal but not the left due to pus and hair - recommended to visit GVH for video-odoscopy - Was started on PMP bid in R ear for yeast OE (adv to to medicate L ear until after procedure), also dispensed pred course (10mg bid tapering) however O has not commenced this yet - Has had 3-4 ear episodes in the past - Otherwise well. EDDU normally no VDCS - No other meds or medical hx Examination: BAR MMs pink and moist, CRT<2 secBCS - 5/9Ears - not examined today. Externally unremarkable Eyes - clearURT - nadSkin/Integument - good coat Dental - 1/4 tartar Chest - HR 110 no murmurs or arrythmias auscultatedAbdo/GIT - Soft and comfortable on palpationLaboratory: Nil Assessment: Bilateral OE - suitable for video otoscopy Plan:- Admit for video otoscope + L ear clean - est 1.2-1.4k previously given to O - Adv of fasting after midnight.
