PRESENTED FOR: Abdominal ultrasoundREASON FOR REFERRAL:2m hx of intermittent D+ (faecal PCR negative) managed with pro-kolin + metroniazole (improved but not resolved). Followed by ingestion of safety razor and enterotomy to remove blades but possibly not all recovered. Followed by recent (last 3 days) history of more dramatic D+ (urgent, large volumes very liquid) + vomiting (last 24 hours) which resolved with single 4mg dose of ondansetron. Today presents flat but normothermic and cardiovascularly stable with no pain on abdominal palpation. Confident no toxic exposure but cannot 100% r/o ingestion of sock, other clothing etc. as is a laundry thief.Concern re potential partial obstruction vs post-op complications vs IBD vs other.INITIAL EXAM: BAR, sweet girl HR: 87bpmRR: WNLMM/ CRT: pink <2sCATHETER PLACED: right cephalic DRUGS GIVEN:  0.16ml Torb IV, 0.04ml Dom IV, 5ml Propofol IV over scan length, 0.04ml Atipamezole IM on completion SAMPLES: Owner consented to sampling, nil takenNOTES: Smooth recovery.
