04/03/2026 HISTORY presented for straining to urinate - started last night - only passing small puddles of urine - no blood that O is aware of - young kids at home - no urinary issue in the past - moved houses in December and new born since September - Lamington doesnt seem to enjoy it too much. mainly comes out at night when kids are sleeping - does go outside a little fenced backyard Eating and drinking normally no vomiting/ diarrhoea RV = Pascoe Vale vet - no long term meds or conditions EXAM BAR, stressed cat but tolerate physical exam. keeps trying to run away HR 160 no murmur or arrhythmia RR 20 lung sound clear bilaterally Temp 38.2 Abdomen soft and comfortable MM Pink and moist CRT <2secs AFAST - small bladder unable to acquire urine, no obvious acoustic shadowing/ mass in bladder but bladder is overall quite small to assess ASSESSMENT suspected FIC (stress induced) PLAN Meloxicam 0.05mg/kg PO SID Gabapentin 100mg PO BID recheck immediately if no producing urine COMMUNICATION plan as above
