unable to check urine today as urinated twice coming into consult. also large normal faeces in consult!

owner doesnot feel meloxicam has made much difference to hidnquarters but dog using hindlegs more in consult and jumped upwards multiple times attempting to get owners attention without collapsing or struggling on hindlegs. defeinite sign of improvement.

owner reports dog has had sore left eye for past week and been treating with optimmune - was placed on this 2years ago by specialist but not routinely used.

visible circular defect into cornea just lateral of central, looks like poke injury, rest of cornea cler, pupil mid dilated, anterior chamber normal. no blepharospasm

schirmer - L&R 9mm, fluorescein - minimal uptake.

has ulcer healed with deficit? warned owner about risk of perforation ruptures.

doxy PO, systane tid/qid, tacrolimus bid, meloxicam PO

r/c 2wks

r/c hindquarter function

owner reports he had not seen major change but dog seems to move more freely in consult. also stifles have reduced crepitus on palpation, still some swaying and wgt trasfer forward but defeinitely some improvement. cont long term meloxicam for now and r/c 6wks. will r/c urine in that time frame too

dog has been good, owner not seeing any blood in urine, dog skin improved with apoquel 3.6mg, still mild pruritis but owner says managing. heat affecting dog a little.

urine collected via cystocentesis

sedivue - clear of bacteria and RBC. occassional hyaline cast evident - to be monitored in future, might predispose to further renal issues but possibly not if stays at this low level.

having trouble with hindquarters, carrying wgt forward onto forelegs, right hindleg turned laterally, patella grade 3 with DJD of both stifles. proprioception good. trial meloxicam PO 2wks then r/c for reassessment
