Concerned as has had a friends dog pass away with cancer. Also has been coughing like something stuck in throat. Examination: Dog very energetic and difficult to examine. Food motivated. Mm pink, CRT <2Oral exam NAD, teeth NADUnable to examine under tongueChest - HR 132, normal BVSAbdo palpation NADL ventral mandible cranially swollen - approx 4cm diffuse area. Tried to FNA the lesion - despite licky mat dog moving too much. Would need at least traz 100mg/gaba 400mg or more prior to appointment, and may require injectable sedation to achieve. Start amoxyclav BID for 5 daysIf swelling resolves and then returns possible FB. If no resolution concern re mass - recommend GA to radiograph and FNA/biopsy.
