Snowy continues to get staph pyoderma but this responds to topical mupirocin (Bactroban). You had an appointment with Dr Jody Braddock at SASH and she also agrees that is likely that Showy has Hyperadrenocorticism. TO confirm this further blood tests and imaging is required.  You are awaiting approval from your insurance companies.She continues to get 1cm round crusted lesions on her skin which irritate her. Today there was one on the right side of her back. We gently removed the crust and microscopic examination from the underlying inflamed skin showed bacterial cocci. The lesions on her ventral abdomen have resolved with the topical Bactroban cream.The ears are very mildly inflamed and a little narrowed but they are not bothering her. Microscopic examination from samples from both ears revealed low numbers of yeast. At this stage we shall monitor her ears and not use any drops yet.  If they do begin to bother her, contact me and I can dispense some drops to pick up from the University.Gently clean the crusted areas when they appear with diluted Chlorhex C 5% to remove the crust. Dilute one-part Chlorhex C to 2 parts water.  This can be left on.Once dry, apply a small amount of Bactroban antibiotic cream twice daily for the lesion for at least 5 days.At this stage I do not need to recheck Snowy.
