emesis induced using apomorphine tablet dissolved into left conjunctival sac
emesis successful and produced partially digested dry food and dental floss
flushed eye and reversed using metoclopromide 0.3mg/kg SC

HISTORY:
noticed that Gilbert is not wagging his tail. appeared painful. 
Was outside in the garden. 
Happened about 3 hours ago. 
not vocalizing, no other issues otherwise. 

CLINICAL FINDINGS:
BCS: 5/9
Demeanour: BAR. 
Eyes: clear, BAR, symmetrical, no discharge
Oral cavity: WNL
Cardiopulmonary: Clear BV lung sounds, no murmur on ausc. 
Abdo palp: soft, comfy NAD. 
MSK: Reacted on palpation of the tail base; dorsocaudal region WNL, ambulatory on all 4s. 
Neuro: reflexes WNL

PROBLEM LIST:
Painful tail

DIFFERENTIALS:
soft tissue trauma vs fracture vs others

DIAGNOSIS:
painful tail

TREATMENT:
carprofen 4mg/kg SID PO

CLIENT COMMUNICATION/PLAN:
Home with NSAIDS. 
monitor ongoing 
RV with regvet INI -further diagnostic work up including X-rays.
