Loose dog charged at Tom and attacked him. Picked up and shook around, mainly grabbed on left side of upper body. Owner got scratched on fore arm - given ice pack.Dog fight happened 15-20mins before presenting at vet.Healthy dog otherwise.Objective:Mentation: BAR, anxious, attempted to bite when going near faceHR: 120bpm, pulses strong and synchronousRR/RE: Panting, normal effort, clear lung sounds bilaterallyCRT: could not assess due to temperament, slightly injected mmIntegument: 1x puncture wound off L midline of neck - small hole present, no active bleeding, deepness to SQ layer. Potential bruising appearing on left side of upper body - too soon to tell extent of damage.Clipped and cleaned puncture wound. Gave 0.26mL Methadone IM.Plan:Start on Amoxyclav 200mg tablet tonight and continue BID for next 5 days.Loxicom 13kg dose SID for next 5 days. Warned of V/D with loxi - advised to stop if they occur.Monitor at home for any swelling, decline in mentation, pain, discharge from wound - to call/return if anything is amiss.RV in 2-3 days to check wound and see if any other injuries have appeared.
