Has been well otherwise. <br>Itching on the skin and ears<br><br>E:<br>BAr, anxious<br>Skin - multiple papular lesions noted - crusty appearance, puritic. Cytoloogy - large amount of neutrophils and cocci noted<br>Lns nad<br>ears - L ear erythematous and fluid like on palpation. Cytology - moderate amoutn of yeast in the L ear, R ear - mix cocci and yeast - (~5-10 per hpf got both).<br> <br><br>A:<br>Bilateral OE - R ear (mixed cocci and yeast), L ear (yeast mainly)<br>Skin - dermatitis rxn with inflammation and puritis <br><br>P:<br>1) Started on a course of steroid + ab for the dermatitis. Warn regarding GI upset. Does have a sensitive gut. <br>2)Easotic 1 pump BID for both ears. Ears cleaned while in clinic<br>3) Revisit in 9 datys for a recheck of the skin and ears<br>4) Malseb wash in 2 days (once only) - O has this at home.</p></html>

Clipped at groomers today. Noticed red circular lesions along ventral abdo - areas where there are no furRed epidermal collarette lesions. circular, slightly crustyWood's lamp negativeO reports a little itchy but not too bad.Ears look ok todaySuspect related to allergies, secondary bacterial infectionTx with neocort BID for up to 2 weeks until clearedDo not think need oral meds at this point as not too irritated.

Ear revisit - improved but still smells off and little waxyEar cytology - yeast still present but much improved - ~5-8 on hpf in the L ear and 3-4 yeast per hpf in the R ear. Moderate epithelial cells present. Moderate wax buildup. Redness has much reduced. Much more comfortable Been well otherwise. No other concerns. Plan:1) Continue with tx at home - O still have some left - for both ears. 2) To clean with epiotic after therapy ends - in both ears3) Start mometasone topical tx in both ears after infection settles.
