Appointment Notes: Overdue remindersReason: examination 4 weeks post dog fight. Trauma to cervical region.History: Dobby has sustaied muscle laceration to cervical region which was sutured. He lost vocalisation in the aftermath of surgery, and has had increasing stridor on exercise in the last 4 weeks. Examination: quiet and bright in the consulting room, panted twice with a laryngeal stridor. Owner showed video of dog on exercise and when excited at home, both marked laryngeal stridor.Sedation: see smart anaesthetic record, a light anaesthetic was induced with medetomidine, and propofol.Assessment: Under a light general aanesthetic, the larynx was visualised to show slight paradoxical movement.Plan:Monitor for another 2-4weeks, itis expected that Dobby will likely deteriorate further and we will have to perform surgery.
