Ultrasound with RBSee attached report Summary:Frank Ninno presented for a recheck echocardiogram for his known mild subaortic stenosis. The examination confirmed the presence of stable, mild subaorticstenosis with a pressure gradient of 30 millimeters of mercury. There was no evidence of significant left ventricular remodeling or concentric hypertrophy. Anew finding of mild mitral regurgitation was identified, characterized by an extremely narrow jet and mild thickening of the mitral valve leaflets. This is consistentwith very early ACVIM Stage B1 myxomatous mitral valve disease. While the left atrial to aortic ratio was mildly increased at 1.7, direct normalized measurementsof the left atrium and left ventricle were within normal limits. Frank is judged to be stable with a low anesthetic risk (ASA 1). No medical, dietary, or exercisemodifications are recommended at this time. Follow-up is advised in 6 to 12 months to monitor the mitral valve changes.Recommendations:At this time, no medical intervention is recommended for either the mild subaortic stenosis or the early Stage B1 myxomatous mitral valve disease. Dogs withmild subaortic stenosis typically enjoy a normal lifespan, though there is a very mild increase in the risk of sudden death. No changes to his current diet orexercise routine are necessary.
