04/03/2026 Reason: tail injury History: Bleeding from tail tip on Saturday, trying to lick at it No longer bleeding Swam this morning in the sea BAR DUDE normal Examination: BAR HR 104, no murmur/arrhythmia Panting, effort wnl, normal lung sounds T 38.3 MM pink and moist, crt<2secs, grade 0 Abdo palp nsf Eyes ears nsf Tail tip bleeding, clipped but would not tolerate bandage ***ADMITTED*** ZVM Sedation: Medetomidine 0.4ml / Butorphanol 0.4ml sc Reversal with Atipamezole 0.2ml im Worked well and recovery uneventful Clipped tail tip and bandaged with fixamul dressing. Treatment:Carprofen 75mg bid 7days. Cephalexin 1000mg bid 5days. Plan:Cu on Monday. Wear ecollar. Warn owner that tail tip injuries acn be difficult to heal and could end up in tail amputation.

Reason:Vaccination History:Doing well. HWP:PH inj EDUF:Normally Examination: Mentation:BAR BCS(0-5):4/5. Watch weight mm:pmg CRT:<2s HR:110 Dental grade (0-4): mild 2 Bilateral oe with R ear worse than L ear. Could not do proper otoscopic exam at all. Does not allow it. Cytology: Malassezia bilateral. (forgot to charge) Assessment: *Healthy to vaccinate *Oe Vaccination given:C5- Protech C4 and oral bb/ PH inj Dermotic 1 ml in each bid 7days. If owner does not manage dermotic ear meds rec ear flush under sedation with compounded ear gel afterwards.
