Hx:
Brought in by O daughter as she is caring for her temporarily while O is recovering from operation. 
Back right foot prev has hx of split nails.
O daughter came home yesterday afternoon and noticed a nail is split again on that foot, and she has chewed off all hair around it.
Very swollen and red.

Otherwise nil concerns.

No current meds. Fasted this morning, last meal 8pm last night.

PE:
RFL - 4th digit nail shows full depth longitudinal split with erythema and swelling of the nail base.

Assessment:
Split nail - will require sedation and full removal

Est provided to O daughter. Daughter also requested dental clean if possible, but unable to due to full surgical load today.

Tx:
Sedation with domtorb IV
1st and 2nd nail layers removed on 4th digit to expose quick 
Quick trimmed and all nails trimmed
Reversal antipamezole IM and meloxicam 0.2mg/kg SQ dorsum on recovery
3 layer bandage applied from pawpad to hock
30cm e-collar placed

Plan:
14mg/kg amoxyclav PO BID for 7D
0.1mg/kg meloxicam oral susp PO SID with food for 5-7 days starting tomorrow afternoon
E-collar on at all times
R/C and bandage change in 3 days
