Reason:8-day post-op check following desexing.History:Both patients are recovering well from desexing surgery. They are currently on a course of antibiotics for skin papular lesions, which is suspected to be an allergic reaction. The owner reports they are taking the medication well with food.Treatment:Both patients were examined. Surgical sites are healing well. Toby has a small scab, and Ivy has a palpable lump at the incision site, which is consistent with internal sutures and is expected to resolve over time. The owner was advised to keep the cones on for another couple of days to reach the 10-day post-op mark. A trial period of removing the cones for a few hours today and tomorrow was discussed to assess their behaviour before full removal on Monday.Plan:- Complete the course of antibiotics.- Trial removing cones for short periods today and tomorrow.- Cones can be removed permanently on Monday, 12/01/2026.- Owner can send a photo of the incision sites on Monday for confirmation if desired.- Next vaccinations are due in early September.- A follow-up appointment has been booked for both patients for vaccinations on Thursday, 03/09/2026 at 10:00 am.-AL Vital Signs

**Reason for Visit:**- 3-day post-operative check for desexing.**History:**- 6-month-old male French Bulldog, desexed 3 days prior.- Post-operatively, had diarrhoea for the first bowel motion, which has since resolved.- Currently eating, drinking, and toileting normally.- Owner reports high energy levels ("zoomies") and difficulty with confinement, especially at night.- Owner reports the dogs are attempting to lick each other's surgical sites.**Medications:**- Antibiotics: Course ongoing.- Metacam: Final dose to be administered tonight.**Examination:**- Surgical site examined and appears to be healing well. No redness, swelling, or discharge noted.**Plan:**- Continue the course of antibiotics as prescribed.- Administer the final dose of Metacam tonight.- Advised owner to confine to a small area (e.g., laundry) to prevent excessive activity and jumping.- Provided additional ties for the e-collar.- To return in 7 days for suture removal.
