Reason: Possible Bandage Change - Depends On How ComfyAppointment Notes: may need another padded bandage if sore to walk without bandage ------- Sms reply: YHISTORY:Presented for a revisit following surgical corn removal five days prior by Dr Maureen.Revisit to check the wound healing progress. The owner had to remove the original bandage as it became wet. They replaced it and covered it with plastic wrap overnight.Current meds: noneParasite Prevention: Not mentionedCurrent Diet: Not mentionedEXAMINATION:Demeanour/Behaviour: anxious Musculoskeletal: Initially not wanting to put weight on the right forelimb after bandage removal. Owner reports more stability and weight-bearing with the new modified Robert Jones bandage.Skin: The pad on the right forelimb is dry and clean with sutures in place. No discharge noted.ASSESSMENT:Post-operative check (5 days) following corn removal surgery on right forelimb pad.Wound appears clean, dry, with sutures intact. No signs of infection.TREATMENT:A modified Robert Jones bandage was placed on the right forelimb for stability. The bandage consists of melolin, soft band, conforming vet wrap, and elastoplast at either end.PLAN and CLIENT COMMUNICATION:Keep the wound bandaged for protection until suture removal, as it is on a weight-bearing surface.Advised to change the bandage every 3 to 5 days, or daily if it becomes wet.The wound is dry, so frequent changes are not necessary unless soiled.Instructed on how to check the toes for any issues when changing the bandage. If any concerns arise upon bandage change (e.g., discharge), return for a recheck.Suture removal is scheduled for two weeks post-surgery, around 04/03/2026.
