NH spoke to Anita, explained histopath results. Explained diagnosis of chronic furunculosis / deep pyoderma, while they did not identify specific bacteria, bacteria is often involved. Rec extend abx, O also running out of meloxicam. Ok to pick up tomorrow. Recheck + suture removal booked for tuesday 10th 5pm.

MICROSCOPIC
There are no neoplastic cells. Epidermis is elevated and is
irregularly hyperplastic. The dermis and subcutis are disrupted by a
pyogranulomatous, lymphocytic and plasmacytic inflammatory infiltrate
accompanied by fibroplasia and oedema. There is localised loss of
several of the adnexal clusters. Inflammation within the deeper stroma
appears to partially lined a cavitary space within which are
fragments of free keratin.

DIAGNOSIS
Chronic furunculosis

COMMENT/S
This is a deep pyoderma. There is evidence of disruption to multiple
follicles and liberated keratin is acting as a foreign body. Traumatic
furunculosis resulting from a callus is possible. Although no
specific microorganisms are identified, bacteria may still be
involved. There is nothing to suggest underlying neoplasia.

O says Gypsy is doing well. EDDU well. O has no concerns. 
Has has meds this morning. 
Advised suture removal 10-14 days, offered to make appt but would like to wait for histo results first -- cm
