Reason: licking feet - appears swollenHistory: Marco has been a bit off colour since yesterday evening, and then last night was licking at his right forepaw. Have since seen swelling near the nail base on that paw, but no blood/discharge. He has been holding up the pa & not moving around as much as normal. Normal EDUF. No vomiting/diarrhoea. This test is a screening test to determine the level of anti-CPV-2   and anti-CDV IgG in the serum. In these tests there is excellent   correlation between the presence of any positive humoral response   and protective immunity.   It has been shown that a titre of 1:5 on this IFA technique is   considered the lowest detectable antibody level. Note that it is   possible that lower titres are still protective and the influence   of the cell mediated response cannot be reliably assessed in this   manner.   * Dogs with a titre of <1:5 may have a suboptimal protection.   * Dogs with a titre of 1:5 but <1:20 may consider revaccination.   * Dogs with a titre of 1:20 or greater are considered protected   and may not need revaccination.   On completion of the puppy vaccination series - and as long as the   puppy is >14-16 weeks of age and the test is performed 2 weeks   after the last vaccination - a strong positive titre (>1:20)   implies protective immunity. No coughing/sneeszing.  Prevous dog developed IMHA following vaccination, so owner elcts titre testing instead. Doesn't drink from/swim in stagnant water. Doesn't chase after rats. Diet: home cooked (rice, chicken, broccoli & vegetables) + R/c cocker spaniel kibble + occasional treats (turkey) Preventatives: nexgard spectra 2 monthly Medication: noneObjective: Bright, alert and responsive. Weight gain of 5.7kg. Eyes/ears/nose: NAD. Mouth: grade 1 dental disease. Integument: NAD. Thoracic auscultation NAD. Abdominal palpation NAD. Peripheral lymph nodes NAD.Laboratory: Serum for distemper and parvovirus tires to vetnostics. Plan:  Recommended to dose nexgard spectra monthly ongoing for parasite prevention. Await bloods - advised owner typically 3 weeks turnaround time. Recommended a grade 1-2 dental - estimate $900-1500 - owner will book in within the next month.
