Reason: recheck wound - was looking good but dog managed to get cone off now looks inflamed/sore. KE advised pop cone back on and don't clean up yet, leave so we can see whats happeningHistory: Keeps getting the cone off and was found to be licking the wound overnight and now looking red and sore again. Exam:BAR, mm pink eyes & ears: NAD skin: 1cm area of superficial ulceration with focal point of trauma to skin to cranial right stifle (penetration e.g. grass seed vs trauma injury or insect/leech bite) - see attached pic. No skin thickening or deeper pocket underneath. rest of skin WNLWoodslamp neg LN: NAD Assessment: Suspect superficial hotspot due to self trauma following focal superficial trauma/possible leech or insect bite. Treatment:clipped and cleaned with dilute chlorhex isaderm BID 5-7 days. Plan:
