PHONE UPDATE: DH discussed with oncology (LB) who advised would need surgery and then likely 4-6 carboplatin doses. Difficult to offer expected survival, but feel 6-12 months likely, although a small subset of these patients can have prolonged remission (hard to predict prior to treatment though). DH relayed this to Fran who will consider the options.

Discussed case with Fran. Decided oncology appointment would be best so they can make assessment as to what surgery and chemo might offer in terms of outcome. Surgery is potentially risky but can be done, but we will not get a margin and so chemo would be required.
