Reason: erythrocytosis with concurrent reticulocytosis History: Chanel is presenting for initial assessment of erythrocytosis (RBC 10.3 (5.4-8.7)) and reticulocytosis (155 (10-110)) as first noted on routine RV bloodwork. Haematocrit was 68%. No prior history of volume loss (no reported diarrhoea/vomitting). RV proposed Ddx (relative erythrocytosis, primary erythrocytosis, secondary erythrocytosis) and O elected referral to ARH IM for further workup. Previous bloodork at check ups unremarkable.OR she does not drink as much as he'd expect, but otherwise is energetic and as her usual self. O has been giving her puppy milk with treats. Will usually eat breakfast around midday if there is treats, always been fussy.Has had two litters when she w2as younger (1 accidental,1 planned). Prophylaxis: bravecto spot on, SR12, C5 - due in a few months.Insured WIth RSPCA.Diet: cooked chicken, canned dog food, dried treats (pig ears etc). Sometimjes eats other dog's.
